Sara Bakeer’s career began with planning. Her early work centred on business planning, budgeting, performance reporting and organisational priorities, giving her a practical understanding of how organisations translate strategy into action.
Over time, her professional focus moved closer to the people behind those plans.
Her journey has taken her from planning and performance management into learning and development, employee experience, career guidance and leadership. While her roles have evolved, the foundation has remained the same: understanding priorities, turning ideas into action and creating meaningful impact.
Today, her professional philosophy is shaped by three values: Growth, Impact and Legacy—values that reflect both her own journey and her passion for helping others recognise their potential and continue developing themselves.

Bakeer’s early experience in planning and performance management continues to influence how she approaches her work. As a P&PM Analyst, she worked across planning, budgeting, KPI monitoring, financial performance and management reporting.
She later took on broader responsibilities as Support Services Unit Head, overseeing areas including budgeting, contracts, procurement, employee engagement and departmental coordination.
These experiences taught her how priorities, people and execution connect. When her career moved into learning and development, she carried that perspective with her.

At Saudi Aramco, Bakeer took on leadership responsibility for staff development and corporate learning. As Staff Development Unit Head, she led a team of trainers delivering development programmes across the organisation, with responsibilities spanning learning needs, curriculum development, quality assurance, trainer development and alignment with business needs.
What became most meaningful to her, however, was seeing what development could unlock in people.
She developed a strong passion for helping individuals recognise their strengths, build confidence and take ownership of their growth. Whether working with a learner, a team member or someone navigating a career decision, she is particularly drawn to the moments that help people see new possibilities for themselves.
Beyond her leadership responsibilities, Bakeer has reached more than 6,000 participants through professional image, career readiness and professional development experiences, working with university students, early-career employees and professionals.
For Bakeer, development goes beyond transferring knowledge. It is about helping people become more intentional about who they are, how they show up and where they want to go next.
Over the past three years, one of the messages she has consistently reinforced through her professional image workshops is that a professional image is built through more than appearance. It is shaped by everyday choices, behaviours, communication and the way individuals show up in the opportunities they are given.
Her workshops encourage participants to develop what she describes as an effective personality—being proactive, self-aware and intentional about the impression and impact they create. She also challenges participants to think of themselves as Impact Makers, recognising that seemingly small actions can influence how others experience them professionally.
For Bakeer, these details matter because professional opportunities are not always predictable. A conversation, an interaction, the way someone responds to a challenge or the impression they leave behind may create an opportunity they never expected.
Her message is therefore not about trying to create a perfect image, but about being prepared when opportunities appear.

Employee experience has become another important part of Bakeer’s work. She has contributed to engagement initiatives, employee survey analysis, recognition programmes and action planning.
Her role also strengthened her experience in event planning and stakeholder engagement. Through organising employee engagement and recognition initiatives, she worked across different teams and levels of the organisation, building strong relationships and expanding her network across the organisation.
This experience reinforced her belief that employee engagement is built through connection. Bringing people together, creating opportunities for their voices to be heard and translating feedback into visible actions helped her understand the importance of both communication and execution in creating a positive employee experience.
For Bakeer, the value of listening lies in what an organisation chooses to do with what it hears.
That same people-centred philosophy extends to career guidance. As an NCDA Certified Career Services Provider, she supports individuals in gaining clarity about their strengths, career direction and development opportunities.
Career guidance is particularly meaningful to her because it brings together two things she is passionate about: development and helping people navigate their professional journeys. She believes that people do not always need someone to give them the answer; sometimes they need the right questions, greater awareness of their strengths and the confidence to identify their own next step.
Her goal is therefore not to make career decisions for people, but to help them understand themselves well enough to make those decisions with greater confidence and ownership. Whether someone is beginning a career, considering a transition or simply questioning what should come next, she values the opportunity to help them gain clarity and move forward with greater purpose.

Her own commitment to continuous development reflects the same philosophy. She holds a CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management and is pursuing a CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management. Her development journey also includes ATD Master Trainer and executive education through Harvard Business School Online in leadership and management.
As her career has evolved, leadership has become increasingly central to Bakeer’s professional purpose.
She believes leadership is not only about delivering results, but also about creating the conditions for others to succeed—providing clarity, encouraging ownership, recognising potential and creating opportunities for people to stretch beyond what they already know they can do.
Leading teams strengthened that belief. Some of the most meaningful outcomes for her have been seeing a team member become more confident, take on greater responsibility or discover a capability they had not fully recognised in themselves.
Her leadership journey has also been shaped by continuous learning, facilitation and communication. Her Toastmasters experience, including serving as President of the Dhahran Toastmasters Club after serving as Vice President of Education, further strengthened her interest in communication, confidence and developing others.
For Bakeer, a leader’s impact is not measured only by what they accomplish, but also by what others become capable of accomplishing.

Growth, Impact and Legacy connect the different chapters of Bakeer’s career.
Growth is the commitment to keep learning while creating opportunities for others to develop.
Impact is turning that growth into something meaningful—an experience, an opportunity, a conversation or a change that moves someone forward.
Legacy is what remains afterwards: stronger capabilities, greater confidence and people who are better prepared to create opportunities and impact for others.
Planning gave Bakeer structure, discipline and an appreciation for execution. Her journey into people development gave those strengths a deeper purpose.
Today, she is driven by the opportunity to help people recognise their potential, develop with intention and become more confident in what they can contribute. Her vision is to continue growing as a leader who creates environments where people are encouraged to learn, take ownership, challenge themselves and ultimately create impact of their own.
For her, leadership is not about being remembered for a title or a position. It is about leaving people, teams and organisations stronger because of the opportunities, confidence and development created along the way.
Growth creates possibility. Impact gives it purpose. And Legacy is when the growth you helped create continues through others.
