Fawaz Aljasser: Leading Organisations Through People, Performance, and Purpose

The Arab CEOs4 days ago

The strongest organisations are not defined solely by the products they create or the markets they serve. They are shaped by leaders who understand that sustainable growth begins with people, is strengthened by operational excellence, and is sustained through a culture that embraces continuous improvement. Throughout his executive career, Fawaz Aljasser has consistently demonstrated how leadership built on these principles can transform businesses and prepare them for long-term success.

Today, as Chief Executive Officer of Almarai, Aljasser leads one of the Middle East’s most recognised food and beverage companies at a time when the industry continues to evolve through changing consumer expectations, supply chain innovation, operational efficiency, and regional expansion. His appointment reflects a career built on developing organisations from the inside out, combining strategic leadership with a deep understanding of people, operations, and business performance.

A Leadership Journey Defined by Transformation

Unlike many chief executives whose careers begin in finance or commercial management, Aljasser’s leadership journey was built through human capital, organisational development, and operational transformation.

His early experience within Almarai provided firsthand insight into the importance of developing capable teams, strengthening organisational structures, and creating workplace cultures that support sustainable growth. As his responsibilities expanded, so too did his perspective on how leadership influences every aspect of business performance.

Over the years, his career has evolved from leading human resources and organisational development to overseeing major operating divisions before ultimately assuming executive responsibility for entire organisations.
“Organisations achieve sustainable success when people, strategy, and execution move together with a shared purpose.”

From Building Teams to Leading Businesses

Aljasser’s progression reflects a rare transition from people leadership to enterprise leadership.

After serving in several senior human resources positions within Almarai, he played an important role in strengthening organisational capability during periods of expansion and operational integration. His experience also included leading the Dairy and Food Polytechnic, a partnership focused on developing the next generation of skilled professionals for the Kingdom’s food industry, reinforcing his long-standing commitment to workforce development.

He later became General Manager of Teeba Investment for Developed Food Processing in Jordan before returning to Almarai as Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, he helped align talent strategy with business growth while supporting one of the region’s largest food manufacturers through continued transformation.

His subsequent appointment as Executive Vice President of Bakery placed him at the helm of Almarai’s bakery division, overseeing the growth of well-established regional brands while strengthening operational performance and commercial execution. This experience broadened his expertise beyond organisational leadership into manufacturing, supply chain, and business management.

Leadership Beyond Operations

Throughout his career, Aljasser has demonstrated that operational excellence and people development are not separate priorities but complementary drivers of long-term business success.

Whether leading manufacturing operations, organisational transformation, or executive management, he has consistently focused on creating environments where high-performing teams can deliver sustainable results while adapting to changing market conditions.

His leadership continues to emphasise:

  • Organisational transformation.
  • Operational excellence.
  • Leadership development.
  • Talent and workforce capability.
  • Business growth.
  • Sustainable performance.

This balanced approach has enabled him to lead organisations through periods of growth while maintaining a strong focus on culture, execution, and long-term value creation.

Investing in Future Leadership

One defining characteristic of Aljasser’s career has been his commitment to developing future leaders.

His involvement in executive education, vocational development, and organisational capability reflects a broader belief that competitive organisations are built by investing in people as much as infrastructure or technology.

Supported by executive education from institutions including London Business School, IMD Business School, the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, and postgraduate studies at the University of Leicester, he has consistently reinforced the importance of continuous learning as a foundation for executive leadership.

“Leadership is measured not only by the results achieved today, but by the capabilities built for tomorrow.”

Looking Ahead

As consumer industries continue to evolve through innovation, changing lifestyles, and regional growth opportunities, leaders capable of combining operational discipline with people-centred leadership will remain essential.

Through his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of Almarai, Fawaz Aljasser continues to build on decades of executive experience, guiding one of the region’s most respected organisations while contributing to the continued development of the Middle East’s food and beverage industry.

The Arab CEOs proudly recognises Fawaz Aljasser for his contributions to executive leadership, organisational transformation, and business excellence across the food and beverage sector.
