The future of real estate will not be defined by buildings alone. It will be shaped by the ability to combine investment, technology, operational excellence, and long-term strategy into platforms that create economic value far beyond the assets themselves. As Saudi Arabia continues to redefine its urban landscape and investment ecosystem, leaders who can bridge these disciplines are playing an increasingly important role in delivering the Kingdom’s transformation.
For Fawaz Al-Fraiji, that intersection has become the foundation of a career spanning real estate, financial services, digital innovation, technology, and investment. His leadership reflects an understanding that sustainable growth is achieved when capital is supported by intelligent execution, digital capability, and businesses designed to evolve alongside the markets they serve.
Successful investment is rarely about identifying opportunities alone. Its greatest impact comes from building businesses capable of delivering value long after the initial investment has been made.
Throughout his career, Al-Fraiji has focused on creating scalable platforms that combine commercial performance with operational resilience. His experience spans investment strategy, business development, organisational transformation, and large-scale operations across public institutions, private enterprises, and growth-stage ventures. Rather than approaching industries in isolation, he has consistently explored where technology, investment, and execution converge to unlock new opportunities.
Today, his work centres on real estate investment, development, workforce housing, and operating platforms that contribute to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 ambitions while supporting sustainable economic growth.

“Long-term value is created when investment strengthens the systems that allow businesses and communities to grow.”
Al-Fraiji’s executive journey reflects the increasing convergence of traditional industries with digital innovation.
His leadership has included chief executive roles across major real estate and property technology organisations, including Dar Al Arkan Properties and Wasalt.com, where strategic growth required balancing commercial expansion with changing customer expectations and emerging digital capabilities.
His experience extends beyond property into financial technology through leadership positions with Quara Finance and Quara Pay, contributing to the evolution of digital lending and payments during a period of accelerating financial transformation across the region. Earlier leadership roles at Gulf International Bank and Monsha’at further strengthened his understanding of digital banking, entrepreneurship, and business development within national economic initiatives.
Across these diverse sectors, a consistent theme emerges: building businesses that integrate technology into the core of their operating models rather than treating innovation as a standalone function.
As Saudi Arabia continues to invest in infrastructure, real estate, and economic diversification, institutional leadership has become increasingly important.
Within the Public Investment Fund (PIF), Al-Fraiji has served in executive advisory and chief executive positions supporting real estate initiatives that align with the Kingdom’s long-term development priorities. His current responsibilities as Senior Advisor focus on investment and strategic development within one of Saudi Arabia’s most significant growth sectors, reflecting his continued involvement in projects that contribute to national transformation.

Alongside these responsibilities, he remains engaged with emerging ventures across proptech, fintech, and technology-enabled businesses, recognising that innovation often develops through collaboration between established institutions and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
“Innovation delivers its greatest impact when strategy, technology and execution advance together.”
Few executive careers move comfortably between global technology companies, entrepreneurial ventures, financial services, and large-scale real estate investment.
Earlier in his professional journey, Al-Fraiji held regional leadership positions with Microsoft, Oracle, and other international organisations before founding his own ventures and leading businesses across the Middle East. These experiences have provided a broad commercial perspective that combines global best practice with a deep understanding of regional market dynamics.

Supported by executive education from Harvard University, IMD Business School, and a foundation in technology and strategy, he continues to invest in lifelong learning while contributing to Saudi Arabia’s evolving executive landscape. He is also a member of the Saudi Leadership Society and a graduate of the Misk 2030 Leaders Programme, reflecting his commitment to leadership development alongside business growth.

His career reflects a new generation of Arab CEOs who are helping shape industries, strengthen institutions, and contribute to the Kingdom’s long-term prosperity.
