
Dr. Yasmine El-Sherbiny began her professional journey after earning her Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Power and Machines from Cairo University -Egypt. Early in her career, she joined Johnson Controls®️ as a Technical Sales Engineer, where she gained valuable experience in building management automation systems (BMS) and electrical power panels
This role allowed her to build strong technical and commercial capabilities while developing a deep understanding of energy systems, automation technologies, and industrial operations.
Her early exposure to engineering and energy systems within the private sector laid a strong foundation for a career that would later expand into leadership, sustainability, and strategic transformation within the oil and gas sector.
In 2006, Dr. El-Sherbiny joined Engineering for the Petroleum and Process Industries (ENPPI), a leading Egyptian EPC company owned by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), specialized in engineering, procurement, project management, and construction management in delivering conceptual and FEED and EPC projects in the energy and process industries.
Over nearly two decades at ENPPI, she progressed through several leadership and technical roles. Beginning as an Electrical Lead Engineer, she contributed to multiple national and international EPC projects within the oil and gas sector, gaining extensive experience in engineering project execution and industrial energy systems.
Her ability to combine technical expertise with strategic thinking led to her appointment as Executive Manager of the Chairman and CEO Technical Office (Staff Operations) in 2021. In this role, she supported executive leadership in developing and evaluating strategic initiatives while monitoring the implementation of corporate objectives aligned with the Egyptian Petroleum and Mineral Resources Modernization Program.
Today, she serves as Energy Transition and Sustainability Business Manager at ENPPI, where she leads initiatives that support the company’s transition toward energy efficiency, low-carbon strategies, and sustainable project development.

In her current role, Dr. El-Sherbiny contributes to the strategic planning and execution of energy transition initiatives, helping align ENPPI’s strategic business objectives with evolving global sustainability goals.
Her leadership focuses on integrating energy efficiency concepts, sustainable engineering practices, and environmental responsibility across large-scale industrial projects. in addition, part of her role involves embedding the ten principles of the UN Global Compact (UNGC) pillars into ENPPI’s operations and project frameworks. By promoting innovative approaches to energy optimization and sustainability, she contributes to positioning ENPPI as a forward-looking engineering organization within the global energy transition landscape.
With over 20 years of experience in Egypt’s oil and gas sector, she brings a comprehensive understanding of industry dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and evolving energy technologies.
Her work reflects a strong commitment to supporting global efforts to address climate change and environmental challenges while maintaining operational excellence in energy infrastructure.
Dr. El-Sherbiny complements her industry leadership with a strong academic background. She earned both her Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
Her doctoral research focused on the moderating role of strategy implementation factors on transformational leadership and employee sustainable performance within Egypt’s Petroleum and Mineral Resources sector.
This research highlights her deep interest in leadership effectiveness, organizational performance, and sustainable workforce development within complex industrial environments.
In addition, she holds a Business Psychology Diploma from RB College in the United Kingdom, strengthening her expertise in understanding organizational dynamics, human behavior, and workplace performance.


Dr. El-Sherbiny also plays an active role in advancing professional development across the energy sector. She has been elected as Mentorship and Development Working Group Leader within the East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF) EmpowerMed Women Network.
Through this role, she leads initiatives focused on mentorship, leadership development, and professional skill-building for women across the East Mediterranean energy community.
Her work contributes to building stronger leadership pipelines and promoting inclusive growth across the regional energy sector.
Her passion towards empowering women aligns deeply with the vision of the EMGF, which recognizes that true empowerment is not about separation but about the ultimate integration between men and women—and that achieving women’s empowerment begins with men’s genuine endorsement of this concept.




Dr. El-Sherbiny’s contributions to sustainable energy transformation have earned national recognition when joining the Middle Management Leadership Program back in 2017 launched by H.E Eng.Tarek ElMolla former minister Of The Egyptian Petroleum and Mineral Resources as part of the modernization program of the Egyptian Oil and Gas sector.

She received the Business Excellence Award presented by H.E. Eng. Karim Badawy, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Egypt, honoring her leadership in advancing sustainability initiatives and strategic innovation within the energy sector.
