Since August 2021, Amr Abdelkader has served as CEO of the Motion Appliances Business Unit at ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC. His responsibilities include overseeing the organization’s complete operations in line with strategic plans, providing leadership on major business decisions, and building relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and shareholders.

His role also encompasses organizational development, stakeholder communication, staffing, and creating an environment that supports the development of a competent and professional team.

A Career Built Across Industry and Management

Before joining ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC, Amr spent more than 11 years with ABB across Egypt and Qatar. As General Manager in Doha from 2010 to 2015, he established an ABB motors and generators service facility in Qatar and developed it into a technical hub for the GCC.

He later served as Local Business Unit Manager for Motors and Generators in Egypt and Central Africa, further strengthening his experience in business leadership and operational management.

Engineering Foundation and Operational Expertise

Amr began his professional journey in engineering and technical service, holding maintenance and rotating-machine service positions with organizations including Schindler Group, DP World, and ABB.

His career is grounded in a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ain Shams University, complemented by extensive hands-on experience across engineering, maintenance, service operations, and general management.
