Ahmed Al Alola, CEO of THIQAH, is a technology and business leader with a proven track record of turning digital ideas into scalable, sustainable solutions. His expertise spans the full digital transformation journey—from ideation and product design to delivery, operations, and innovative business models.
Since joining THIQAH, Al Alola has progressed through key business leadership roles, ultimately becoming CEO in April 2025. As Deputy CEO, he led a 600+ employee Business Solutions group and more than 40 digital transformation projects for government and private-sector partners.
Under his leadership, THIQAH’s Business Solutions revenue grew 5.5x, customer satisfaction increased by 73%, and profitability rose by 4.2x. He also helped diversify the company’s portfolio, expand partnerships, modernize delivery through cloud-native and DevOps practices, and strengthen its operating model.
Al Alola has been closely involved in developing and operating some of Saudi Arabia’s most significant digital platforms, supporting more than 11.4 million transactions and processing over SAR 800 billion annually. His work reflects a focus on combining technology with sustainable commercial models and measurable impact.
Earlier, as Chief Business Officer, he expanded THIQAH’s portfolio from one client and seven products to nine key clients and 44 products, while increasing revenue by 65% and gross profit by 76% in less than two years.
His leadership also extended beyond Saudi Arabia with the launch of Maarof in Oman, THIQAH’s first regional product outside the Kingdom.
Al Alola’s career began in technology and entrepreneurship, including founding iPhady.com before its acquisition by AlFalak. He subsequently held roles in e-commerce, business development, project management, change management, and information assurance.
Today, alongside his CEO responsibilities, he serves on the boards and executive committees of organizations including Bayan Credit Bureau and AHAD Business Services, while remaining active in the venture capital space.
An Executive MBA from IE Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) complement his technology and business leadership experience.
