A Remarkable Journey at Al Rajhi Bank

Al-Furaiji joined Al Rajhi Bank in 2004, beginning his banking career as a Local Shares Broker before progressing through a series of increasingly senior roles.

His achievements in retail banking led him from Branch Sales Manager to Branch Manager and then District Manager, before he transitioned into the bank’s remittance business in 2011.

As Head of Remittance Sales, Head of Remittance Branches, and eventually Head of Exchange and Remittance Business, he played a key role in driving exchange, remittance, and local payment operations involving more than 1,500 employees.

In 2020, Al-Furaiji moved into the Digital and Payment Group, taking responsibility for digital business development and sales. He subsequently became Chief Digital Officer in June 2021, a position he continues to hold.

His career reflects a powerful combination of banking expertise, commercial performance, operational leadership, and digital innovation.

From IT to Executive Banking Leadership

Before joining Al Rajhi Bank, Al-Furaiji developed a strong foundation in technology and business management.

At Arab Sea Information Systems, he progressed from Head of Sales to Head of Sales and Support and ultimately General Manager, where he managed more than 120 employees across seven branches.

His career began at King Fahad Specialist Hospital Buraydah, where he held roles including Supervisor of the Appointments Section and Computer Department Manager.

This early exposure to information technology and organizational management provided a foundation that would later support his transition into digital banking and financial technology leadership.
