Dr. Fatih Mehmet Gül is a physician and international healthcare executive with more than two decades of experience building, commissioning, transforming, and leading hospitals across the Gulf and Türkiye. His career combines clinical understanding with executive expertise in strategy, operations, financial performance, digital transformation, and healthcare investment.
Currently serving as Country CEO – Qatar at Apex Health, Dr. Gül provides strategic leadership across a growing healthcare portfolio that includes The View Hospital and the Korean Medical Center, while overseeing operational excellence, new healthcare projects, partnerships, and long-term growth.
As Country CEO of Apex Health Qatar since September 2025, Dr. Gül leads strategic direction across the organization’s Qatari operations, bringing together multiple healthcare institutions, thousands of employees, and an expanding portfolio.
His responsibilities span operational performance, payer relationships, new asset development, commissioning, academic partnerships, and digital health. He continues to champion his Connected Care philosophy, which seeks to integrate technology with human-centred healthcare while strengthening patient outcomes and institutional trust.
Previously, as CEO of The View Hospital, he led strategic, clinical, financial, and stakeholder priorities while advancing international quality standards, payer partnerships, patient-experience intelligence, and digital health initiatives.
Dr. Gül has built a distinctive career around some of healthcare’s most complex executive challenges. At Fakeeh Care Group, he served as CEO of Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital Jeddah, overseeing a 410-bed teaching hospital, more than 4,000 staff, and a financial portfolio exceeding USD 400 million.
He also led the commissioning of NEOM Hospital, transitioning the facility from construction handover toward operational readiness and establishing clinical, staffing, licensing, technology, and patient-care systems.
As CEO of Fakeeh University Hospital Dubai, he oversaw the development of a USD 500 million greenfield teaching hospital and guided it through construction, licensing, team building, and operational launch. The hospital achieved JCI international accreditation within its first year.

Dr. Gül’s leadership experience extends beyond hospital operations into healthcare investment, capital markets, and strategic expansion. During his tenure with Fakeeh Care Group, he played an important role in the group’s successful listing on the Saudi Tadawul, associated with a USD 764 million IPO.
Earlier, at Acibadem Healthcare Group, he supported regional expansion, investment evaluation, due diligence, and partnerships with private equity firms and family offices across Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the UAE.
His expertise spans hospital commissioning, turnaround management, IPO readiness, PPP strategy, digital health, EMR implementation, healthcare investment, M&A integration, and operational transformation.
Dr. Gül’s leadership philosophy increasingly focuses on the relationship between technology and human connection in healthcare. Through Connected Care, he advocates for digital transformation that strengthens rather than replaces the human elements of medicine.
He is the author of Connected Care: The Seamless Integration of Technology and Human Touch in Healthcare and hosts The Chief Healthcare Officer Podcast, extending his contribution to healthcare leadership and knowledge-sharing beyond institutional boundaries.
He also serves as an Honorary Professor at UCL Global Business School for Health, contributing to the development of healthcare leadership and thought leadership.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Gül held healthcare leadership and project roles across Türkiye and Saudi Arabia, including with Abdul Latif Jameel. His work included healthcare investment, hospital operations, social-impact programs, and the introduction of a helicopter ambulance service in Saudi Arabia.
These experiences established the foundation for an executive career defined by operational discipline, strategic growth, innovation, and healthcare impact.

Dr. Gül has received multiple professional recognitions, including the ITIJ Cost Containment Award, CSR-related awards, and recognition among the 2011 Top 100 Thought Leaders in Europe and the Middle East. He has also been recognized multiple times among Forbes’ Top Healthcare Leaders and by other leading healthcare publications and institutions.
His publications address healthcare projects, CSR, patient satisfaction, COVID-19’s impact on GCC healthcare, women empowerment, and digital transformation.
