Economic transformation is measured not only by ambitious national plans, but by an economy’s ability to convert those ambitions into sustainable commercial opportunities. As Saudi Arabia accelerates its diversification agenda, the organisations creating the greatest long-term value are those capable of bridging public policy with private enterprise, transforming national priorities into scalable business models that attract investment, encourage innovation, and strengthen economic resilience.
That intersection between strategy and execution has become the defining space in which Mohammed AlOmrani has built his leadership career. Working across government, consulting, finance, technology, and infrastructure, he has consistently focused on translating complex strategic objectives into commercially viable outcomes, helping organisations unlock new sources of growth while contributing to broader national development.
Modern government institutions are increasingly expected to do more than regulate. They are becoming enablers of investment, innovation, and economic participation.
As President’s Assistant and Chief Investment & Business Officer at the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA), AlOmrani leads the Authority’s investment strategy while developing commercial offerings and public-private partnership models designed to expand the role of geospatial capabilities within Saudi Arabia’s evolving economy. His work focuses on creating sustainable revenue opportunities, attracting strategic partners, and strengthening the commercial foundations of a nationally significant sector.
Rather than viewing public institutions solely through an administrative lens, his leadership reflects a broader belief that government capabilities can become platforms for innovation, investment, and long-term economic value creation.
“National transformation accelerates when public ambition and commercial innovation move in the same direction.”
Before entering his current leadership role, AlOmrani co-founded Hawaz, a strategy and transformation consultancy established to help organisations navigate growth, change, and execution. Under his leadership, the firm evolved into a high-performing consultancy while achieving sustained commercial growth through a focus on strategy implementation, value proposition design, and strategic partnerships.
His work extended beyond advising organisations. It centred on helping leaders convert vision into measurable outcomes, ensuring that transformation programmes were supported by practical operating models capable of delivering lasting impact.
This entrepreneurial experience provided a strong commercial foundation that continues to shape his leadership across both public and private sectors.
One of AlOmrani’s distinguishing strengths is his ability to bridge disciplines that often operate independently.
His experience spans government transformation, digital services, consulting, financial services, and industrial businesses, allowing him to understand how policy decisions influence commercial performance and how private-sector innovation can accelerate national objectives. Throughout his career, he has contributed to initiatives involving ICT, finance, construction, and consulting while building organisations, launching national programmes, and creating new revenue models.
This cross-sector perspective has become increasingly valuable as Saudi Arabia continues to encourage deeper collaboration between government entities and private enterprise under Vision 2030.
“Sustainable growth is achieved when strategy creates opportunities for others to build alongside it.”
Commercial success is only one dimension of long-term leadership.
Alongside his executive responsibilities, AlOmrani remains actively involved in developing future talent through mentoring initiatives, including the Qimam Fellowship and programmes delivered by Misk, reflecting his commitment to supporting the next generation of Saudi leaders. He is also a member of the Saudi Leadership Society and a graduate of the Misk 2030 Leaders Programme, reinforcing his engagement with leadership development beyond his organisational responsibilities.
Supported by an MBA from London Business School, his academic and professional development reflects a continuous investment in strategic thinking, global perspectives, and executive leadership.
