Since assuming the role of CEO at AlSalama Hospital in 2023, Dr. Alem has led the successful launch and operational development of the hospital. He established a high-performing leadership team, recruited experienced healthcare professionals, and implemented systems designed to deliver quality care while maintaining the highest standards of operational efficiency.

His leadership is focused on building a healthcare environment where clinical excellence, innovation, and exceptional patient experiences work together to support healthier communities.

Three Decades of Healthcare Leadership

Dr. Alem’s career spans more than 30 years across clinical practice, hospital operations, and executive leadership. Before joining AlSalama Hospital, he served as Deputy CEO and previously as Deputy Chief Medical Officer at the International Medical Center (IMC), where he played a key role in strengthening medical operations, governance, and organizational performance over nearly two decades.

Earlier in his career, he co-founded The First Clinic in Jeddah, helping establish a respected center for specialized healthcare services. He also served as a Consultant in Family Medicine at King Abdulaziz Medical City and held leadership responsibilities at King Abdulaziz University Hospital, building a strong foundation that combines medical expertise with healthcare management.
