Strategy is often defined by ambitious goals, but its real value lies in execution. The organisations that create lasting impact are those capable of translating vision into measurable outcomes, aligning people, resources, and partnerships around shared objectives. Throughout his career, Ali Alamri has focused on that challenge, helping organisations strengthen performance, accelerate transformation, and deliver strategic initiatives that contribute to Saudi Arabia’s long-term development.
Today, as Chief Strategy Officer of the Events Investment Fund, Alamri continues to support initiatives that are expanding the Kingdom’s entertainment and events ecosystem while advancing investment, institutional excellence, and sustainable economic growth. His career reflects a consistent commitment to building organisations that are prepared not only to define strategy but also to deliver it.

Saudi Arabia’s economic transformation has created new opportunities for organisations to rethink how they plan, invest, and execute.
In his current leadership role, Ali Alamri oversees strategic planning and organisational development within the Events Investment Fund, supporting one of the Kingdom’s newest investment platforms focused on developing world-class entertainment infrastructure and experiences. Alongside this responsibility, he serves on the Board of the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority, contributing to governance and long-term institutional development.
His leadership is grounded in the belief that sustainable progress requires strategy to remain connected to execution, performance, and measurable outcomes.
“A strategy only creates value when it becomes part of how an organisation operates every day.”
Throughout more than two decades of executive leadership, Alamri has worked across government, financial services, capital markets, and national development initiatives.
His experience spans strategy formulation, enterprise project management, organisational excellence, stakeholder engagement, investment development, and business transformation, providing him with a broad perspective on how institutions create long-term value.
Rather than approaching strategy as a standalone discipline, he has consistently focused on integrating governance, performance management, project delivery, and organisational capability into a unified framework that supports sustainable growth.

One of the defining chapters of Alamri’s career came during his leadership at the General Entertainment Authority, where he served as Chief Strategy Officer during a period of rapid sector growth.
He led the development of both the Entertainment Sector Strategy and the Authority’s organisational strategy, while overseeing strategy management, investment, project management, organisational excellence, data management, and strategic partnerships.
Under his leadership, the Authority achieved the EFQM Excellence Award, launched its first international investment roadshows that attracted approximately US$20 billion in investment opportunities during the first half of 2023, introduced an international entertainment summit in partnership with IAAPA, and established a specialised business accelerator to support entrepreneurs operating within the sector.

These initiatives contributed to strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as an emerging global destination for entertainment investment and innovation.
Before joining the General Entertainment Authority, Alamri held leadership positions across several of Saudi Arabia’s leading institutions.
At Monsha’at, he supported strategy execution aligned with Vision 2030 while developing enterprise performance management systems. At Edaa, he led business development and innovation initiatives supporting the evolution of Saudi Arabia’s capital market infrastructure. Earlier roles at Bank Albilad and Tadawul strengthened his expertise in strategic planning, enterprise project management, business development, technology transformation, and organisational performance.
This diverse experience has enabled him to understand organisational transformation from multiple perspectives, including technology, finance, governance, and public policy.
Throughout his executive journey, Alamri has emphasised that successful transformation depends on collaboration across institutions rather than isolated organisational initiatives.
His leadership continues to focus on:
By aligning these disciplines, he has helped organisations improve execution while creating stronger foundations for sustainable growth.

“Meaningful transformation happens when strategy, people, and partnerships move towards a common purpose.”
Alongside his executive responsibilities, Alamri remains committed to governance, mentoring, and institutional development.
His experience as a board member, executive leader, consultant, and mentor reflects a broader commitment to supporting entrepreneurship, strengthening organisational capability, and helping future leaders translate vision into practical results.
Supported by a background in computer science and an MBA from Manchester Business School, he continues to combine analytical thinking with strategic leadership to guide organisations through increasingly complex environments.

The CEO Network proudly recognises Ali Alamri for his contributions to strategic leadership, organisational excellence, and institutional transformation across Saudi Arabia. Through his work across government entities, financial institutions, and national development initiatives, he continues to demonstrate how disciplined strategy, effective execution, and collaborative leadership can strengthen organisations and contribute to long-term economic progress.
