
Samer Abu-Ltaif, President of Microsoft Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), is a distinguished technology executive with more than 35 years of industry experience. Leading Microsoft’s operations across more than 120 markets, he works closely with governments, businesses, and partners to accelerate AI adoption, digital transformation, cloud innovation, and sustainable growth.

Since January 2025, Abu-Ltaif has served as President of Microsoft EMEA, overseeing one of the company’s most diverse and strategically important regions.
His leadership focuses on helping organizations harness emerging technologies to strengthen innovation and competitiveness while ensuring that AI adoption is grounded in trust, security, responsible use, and compliance.
His role also involves working with governments and industry leaders to advance digital economies and develop the skills required for an increasingly AI-driven workforce.
Abu-Ltaif joined Microsoft in 2004, beginning a remarkable leadership journey that has taken him through increasingly senior regional positions.
Before becoming President of EMEA, he served as Corporate VP & President of Microsoft Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa (CEMA) and previously as President of Microsoft Middle East & Africa.
Earlier, he held positions including Regional General Manager – Gulf, Regional Director, and General Manager – North Gulf, contributing to Microsoft’s growth and expansion across the region.
Throughout these roles, he has helped advance Microsoft’s investments in cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and technology skills development.
Before joining Microsoft, Abu-Ltaif spent more than 14 years with NCR Corporation, progressing through roles in sales, account management, financial solutions, and general management.
As General Manager of the Financial Solutions Group for the Gulf and Pakistan, he developed extensive experience at the intersection of technology, financial services, and business strategy.
This early career foundation contributed to his ability to connect technological innovation with practical business outcomes.
