Ahmed El Halawany is an experienced real estate executive with a career spanning property management, real estate development, and development management. Based in Egypt, he currently serves as Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Real Estate, bringing extensive development leadership experience across some of Egypt’s prominent real estate organisations.

Leadership at Al-Futtaim Real Estate

Since June 2025, Ahmed has served as Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Real Estate in Egypt, overseeing his current executive responsibilities in the country’s dynamic real estate sector.

His appointment builds on a career focused on development strategy, project delivery, and the advancement of major real estate portfolios.

Extensive Development Experience

Prior to his current role, Ahmed served as Chief Development Officer at SODIC from 2021 to 2025. He previously held the same position at Orascom Development Egypt, where he worked from 2019 to 2021.

His earlier leadership experience includes roles as Development Director at MARAKEZ and Eagle Hills, as well as Development Director for Eastown at SODIC.

Building a Strong Real Estate Foundation

Ahmed began his professional career as an Architect at Dar Al Handasah, before moving into development management with Emaar Properties. His progression from architecture to development management and senior executive leadership reflects a career built across multiple dimensions of the real estate industry.

This combination of architectural and development experience provides a strong foundation for understanding projects from both technical and strategic perspectives.

Ahmed studied at Deutsche Evangelische Oberschule (DEO) from 1991 to 1998.
